J. Scott Hynson sets the institute’s long-term direction, originates and develops research programs, recruits collaborators, and helps move promising work toward clearer models, stronger criticism, and responsible implementation.
MindForge grows from the conviction that imagination and rigor are not opposites. Original ideas become useful only when their assumptions are visible, their history is documented, and their limits can be tested.
Founder-led does not mean exempt from review. Technical claims must stand on their own evidence, and future governance is designed to expand independent oversight as the institute matures.
