QuantumBridge
A crypto-agile trust and interoperability research program for authenticated communication across classical, hybrid and post-quantum security domains.
Different systems evolve at different speeds. They can use different cryptographic algorithms, identity mechanisms and trust policies while still needing to exchange authenticated information. QuantumBridge explores how those domains can communicate without silently weakening the verification each side expects. It sits within the QuantumShield ecosystem and connects security research to a concrete integration challenge.
The research direction separates source-domain verification, destination-verifiable evidence, algorithm negotiation and policy-aware routing. A receiving system needs to know what was verified, which identity and algorithm were involved, and whether the result satisfies its own policy. The design must make that interpretation explicit rather than treating a bridge as an unquestioned trusted middleman.

- Source-domain authentication and proof semantics
- Destination-side policy and verification
- Algorithm negotiation and migration
- Replay, downgrade and compromised-node handling
A useful prototype would begin with a small number of representative domains and a documented threat model. Tests should include invalid messages, reused attestations, key rotation, incompatible policies, interrupted migrations and hostile components. Performance results matter only in the context of the protection being provided. The next deliverables are a specification, prior-art comparison and reproducible test plan—not a claim of production certification.
Protocol researchers, security engineers and infrastructure partners can help define a bounded pilot and independent review criteria. Potential outcomes include architecture notes, interoperability experiments and a prototype gateway. Patent and licensing decisions require separate documentation; no filing, grant award or deployment is implied by this program description.
